A Note from the President
 As
the newly elected President of the International Baptist Church Ministries,
INC. (IBCM), my desire is to focus on the needs of English-speaking
churches, many of which are affiliated with the IBC.
IBCM members pray regularly for IBC churches and the other churches
we serve.
The mission of the
IBCM is to present the Gospel to all persons with the goal of bringing them
to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to form local congregations for
the Christian nurture of those who respond.
One way we fulfill our mission is to assist U.S. citizens in supporting the
baptistic work of their English-speaking international church.
The IBCM was founded in 1999, and celebrated its 10th
anniversary during the Annual Meeting, which was held at the
North Fort Worth Baptist
Church, Fort Worth, Texas,
on February 6-7. Approximately
50 IBCM members and their guests attended the celebration.
Many of those in attendance have served in IBC Churches and at the
IBC’s Headquarters. Dr. Jimmy
Martin, IBC General Secretary and his wife, Laurie, were also present.
The honored speaker was Dr. Jim Denison, who is the
Theologian-in-Residence for the Baptist General Convention of
Texas.
Dr. Denison spoke of the importance of English-speaking international
churches.
